Dog Bloat : Be Aware
March 30, 2007 |
Bloating in dogs are serious problems. Bring to your nearest vet for quick diagnosis on the condition. Some common causes of blog are as follows:
- Blockages in the intestines
- Liver condition
- Cancer
When you notice any ballooning look in your dog’s tummy region, pls bring to the vet without any delay for treatment. Any delay can cost your pet his life! So do not take any chances.
Liver condition if found early can be treated. Same goes for blockages in intestines where the obstruction can be removed thru surgery.
Bloat caused by cancer can be more challenging to resolve. My brother’s 2 sharpei died of bloat 6 months back of at the age of 6 & 7. We were devastated. One passed on after another within 2 months. They both had cancer and died in a short time though the bloat started in only a day or two and we tried to sought treatment to no avail.
So take no chance and head to the vet immediately!
